1883-O Morgan Silver Dollar PCGS MS63
From $130.00
The 1883-O Morgan Silver Dollar, graded MS63 by the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS), is a choice uncirculated example of one of America's most collected silver coin series. Struck at the New Orleans Mint in 1883, this dollar carries the distinctive O mint mark on the reverse, just below the eagle — a hallmark of coins produced at the historic Louisiana facility during the Morgan series run. The obverse presents George T. Morgan's celebrated left-facing portrait of Liberty, crowned with wheat and cotton, surrounded by thirteen stars and the motto E Pluribus Unum. The reverse features a heraldic eagle with outstretched wings, clasping an olive branch and arrows, encircled by a wreath and the inscriptions United States of America and One Dollar. Both sides display the natural silver toning that develops on original, undipped Morgan dollars over more than 140 years, adding to the coin's character and originality. At MS63, this coin retains strong mint luster with only a modest number of contact marks — a grade that represents solid collector value in the Morgan series. The coin is housed in its original PCGS sonically sealed holder, ready for display or a registry set.
