1922 Peace Silver Dollar NGC MS 63 — S$1
From $115.00
The 1922 Peace Silver Dollar, graded MS 63 by the Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC), is one of the most iconic and widely collected U. S. silver dollars of the 20th century. Struck at a time of post-World War I optimism, the Peace Dollar series was introduced in 1921 and the 1922 Philadelphia issue represents the highest-mintage year of the entire series, making it a cornerstone of any comprehensive collection. The obverse carries sculptor Anthony de Francisci's celebrated portrait of Liberty wearing a radiate crown, with the inscriptions LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST. The reverse presents a proud bald eagle perched on a mountain, clutching an olive branch beneath radiating sunbeams, with the word PEACE prominently displayed below — a direct reference to the end of the Great War. At MS 63, this example retains full mint luster with only a few scattered contact marks, as expected for the grade. A strong choice for type collectors and Peace Dollar specialists alike.
