About Graded Peace Silver Dollars
Graded Peace Silver Dollars are certified examples of the iconic U.S. silver dollar series struck from 1921 through 1935, each slabbed and numerically graded by a third-party grading service such as PCGS or NGC. Listings in this category span the full run of the series, including key dates, semi-keys, and common dates across a wide range of Sheldon grades from AG-3 through MS-67.
The Peace Dollar was designed by sculptor Anthony de Francisci and introduced following the Pittman Act, replacing the Morgan Dollar. Its obverse features a forward-facing portrait of Liberty crowned with rays, while the reverse depicts a perched eagle alongside the word "PEACE" — a direct reference to the end of World War I. Struck in .900 fine silver at 26.73 grams (0.7734 troy oz of actual silver), the series includes notable dates such as the 1921 high relief, the low-mintage 1928, and the Carson City and San Francisco issues that draw consistent collector interest. The 1964-D Peace Dollar was authorized but never officially released, making the 1935 Philadelphia issue the series' last confirmed circulation strike.
On CoinDuffle, this category brings together graded Peace Dollars from multiple vetted dealers, covering circulated grades (VG through AU), mint-state examples (MS-60 through MS-67), and an occasional proof-like or VAM-attributed piece. Buyers will find offerings organized by date, mint mark, and grade, sourced from PCGS, NGC, ANACS, and ICG holders. Whether building a date-and-mint-mark set or targeting a specific grade tier, this category represents broad depth across the series.
